Today’s date is 06-06-2020 and on this day every year, I add a new year… what I’m trying to say is… It’s my birthday today. Say a Prayer for me. I’m glad to meet you. God’s gift to you on this day is revealed in words below… Shall we proceed?
Every day we experience new births in different locations all over the world. Women keep reproducing the earth, and no one child is the same no matter how similar they look you’d agree with me right? To you, a believer and a child of God fashioned in his image and likeness, you’ve been called into the body of Christ. Walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called. While some are baby Christians, some are teens, youths, adults, some have embraced their vocation full-time while others are yet to find out where in they’ve been called.
Biblical clue: Ephesians 4:4 there is one body, and one spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling.
The human body has many members and each one has its own function in the body, each member work hand-in-hand for the general well-being of the body. The teeth may look insignificant to the body but when one tooth aches, it affects the entire body. The same applies to the body of Christ; while some are easily noticed, the rest (majority) are always found behind the scenes. Because where you are is not a spotlight doesn’t mean you have no work to do. If we consider it carefully, we observe that the hidden parts of the body handle the most sensitive tasks.
You are a member of the body of Christ. A piece in the puzzle. I’d like you to know that wherever you find yourself, be it in London, Chicago, Nigeria, Ghana, etc. you’ve been called into oneness to keep the unity of the spirit. God lives in you. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
God has given unto EVERYONE a GIFT through the generosity of Christ, because of what Jesus has done for us he freed you from every debt whatsoever the enemy is holding claim to, paid for it in full and gave everyone who believes a part in him. Some were given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers each with a responsibility to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the body of Christ. If you’ve taken time to notice you’ll see that people come into our lives at different points of our lives; with some we have a short term relationship or encounter while others stay with us on the course for a longer period.
I’ve had conversations in few minutes with people who make a vital impact in my life. You may not pay attention to it but that short chitchat you have with a colleague can make him or her decide to follow Christ. Our lives are the epistles people are reading. So what you feed your audience matters at all times. You may find yourself in an organization or a platform at a certain period in time. New people, new challenges, new experiences. How you handle and respond to them speak whose you are.
Some engineers are disguised apostles, some bankers are evangelists in disguise. People from all walks of life have a role to play in the body of Christ; in schools, offices, market places, law firms, politics etc.
The youths and teens of our time are majorly influenced by celebrity lifestyles, trends etc. looking up to a celebrity and becoming ardent fans. Whether you find yourself in the spotlight (stage) or behind the scenes, someone is looking up to you. They may not necessarily walk up to you to tell you how you’ve impacted their lives but they are thankful to have met a wonderful person like you. Grow that which has been given. It’s in you, harness it.
Food for thought
Revelation 2:25 but that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
Ephesians 1:18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what the hope of his calling is, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints…
Beloved, if you’re yet to give your life to Christ you are just in time. God’s invitation to you is still open;
Hebrews 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, today, after so long a time; as it is said, today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
Receive him today
Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that you came to the world and you died for me. I accept you this this day to be my lawfully wedded husband, my Lord and personal saviour, cleanse my heart from all unrighteousness. In Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations, you are now a born again Christian.
