Choice: a choice is the ability to make a decision amongst various other options. Every day, we are blessed with opportunities to make choices. It ranges from picking out an outfit, what to eat , where to go, what to do etc. We always have something to choose from.
The matter of Choice has been in existence before the world began, so we invariably make choices in our day to day activities.
Yes/ No, Right/Wrong, True/False, etc these are some of the options if not all of the options we get to choose from on a daily concerning different matters arising.
No matter how you want to paint the picture, it boils down to making a choice either to do good or evil, either to stick with the truth or bend it. A choice helps us understand people better. What you would do in a situation is different from what another would do if presented with such situation.
Our Choices are based on our convictions, what do you believe in? If we can clearly states things as it is unwavering, then making a choice wouldn’t be a hard choice.
For example, if I present to you with the latest iPhone and the latest Samsung phone and ask you to make a choice, which would you choose and why?
Now, in this case, you evaluate yourself based on motives, need, value, etc. Someone might choose the iPhone because of its camera; another might choose it because of its capacity, etc. Still they all chose the iPhone but with different reasons.
Choices!
Same thing goes for every other activity and decision man engages in. Some may say when caught in the act of wrongdoing, “it’s the devil “. Are you for real? The devil, really?
It’s brings me to say, that the devil has access to your life the much you let him have.
So, for you to steal, masturbate, fornicate, lie, fraud another, etc. You let it happen, you chose that option.
It’s a plain truth, that we know the right thing to do, yet we do otherwise.
You make the decision.
Who do we blame for all our mischiefs? The mind of a man is where all the battles take place.
Biblical clue: Galatians 5:17 for the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
There is a constant struggle in the mind of a man to either walk in the spirit or in the flesh.
Galatians 5:16, 19-21 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. [19] Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these ; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, [20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, [21] envying, murders, drunkenness, revelling, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
If your life currently portray either of the following listed above, it is because you’re walking in the flesh (i.e letting your senses, appetite, will, control your actions)

For every time, you watch that pornography film, there’s a drag, one thought telling you not to, the other encouraging you to and giving you reasons too… BUT, you have the final decision. You make the Choice! That it was suggested to you doesn’t mean you should take it.
That’s why we all will be held accountable on the day of Judgement. You won’t have any excuse, as bitter as it sounds, that’s the truth. You’ve got no one to blame my dear!
Galatians 5:22-25 but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
For each time you live according to the following, you display the fruits of the spirit.
It is possible to walk in the spirit on a daily basis, concerning any matter at all.
Romans 6:10-16 when Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us. From now on, think of it this way: Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God. That’s what Jesus did.
That means you must not give sin a vote in the way you conduct your lives. Don’t give it the time of day; don’t even run little errands that are connected with that old way of life. Throw yourselves wholeheartedly and full-time—remember, you’ve been raised from the dead!—into God’s way of doing things. Sin can’t tell you how to live.
After all, you’re not living under that old tyranny any longer. You’re living in the freedom of God. So, since we’re out from under the old tyranny, does that mean we can live any old way we want? Since we’re free in the freedom of God, can we do anything that comes to mind?
Hardly. You know well enough from your own experience that there are some acts of so-called freedom that destroy freedom. Offer yourselves to sin, for instance, and it’s your last free act. But offer yourselves to the ways of God and the freedom never quits. All your lives you’ve let sin tell you what to do.
It’s simple. Make a Choice, Take a Stand!
Take a stand. Now, I’m not about to say that if you take up your cross and choose to follow Christ as I know you would that the passion to do evil will disappear in a twinkle of an eye. No, not exactly. If for anything, the desire to masturbate, lie, smoke, etc will intensify but taking a stand to say No each time is what gives you the victory.
Oh! The devil is not about to let you go easily, Why? It’s because for so long you’ve been best friends with him, walking hand in hand satisfying each urge that comes up. Saying Yes to Jesus, is saying yes to an entirely different government and the devil will keeping coming with temptations because your flesh is already fattened in wrongdoing.
So it’ll take a lot of making right choices, with other things I’ll tell you below before, victory over that is assured.
Romans 6:17-22 but thank God you’ve started listening to a new master, one whose commands set you free to live openly in his freedom! I’m using this freedom language because it’s easy to picture. You can readily recall, can’t you, how at one time the more you did just what you felt like doing—not caring about others, not caring about God—the worse your life became and the less freedom you had?
And how much different is it now as you live in God’s freedom, your lives healed and expansive in holiness? As long as you did what you felt like doing, ignoring God, you didn’t have to bother with right thinking or right living, or right anything for that matter. But do you call that a free life? What did you get out of it?
Nothing you’re proud of now. Where did it get you? A dead end. But now that you’ve found you don’t have to listen to sin tell you what to do, and have discovered the delight of listening to God telling you, what a surprise! A whole, healed, put-together life right now, with more and more of life on the way!

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.
Beloved, if you’re yet to give your life to Christ; you are just in time. God’s invitation to you is still open
Receive him today
Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that you came to the world and you died for me. I accept you this this day to be my lawfully wedded husband, my Lord and personal savior, cleanse my heart from all unrighteousness. In Jesus name. Amen.
Congratulations, you are now a born again Christian.
I pray that the Holy Spirit makes himself known to you, as you take a decision to live right for God, may his Spirit lead you into all truth. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Food for thought:
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
To live a life above flesh, you must
•engage the spirit at all times.
•Separate from every form of ungodliness, if it has to cost you your song album, friends, sites, place etc. Cut off, it’s worth it.
•Find a fellowship; join a house where you will learn more about God.
•Starve the flesh. Fasting is vital to keep the flesh under control, as it is the flesh has a large appetite. Fasting from food, social media, outings etc. whatever it is that you’ve fed more that seems irreplaceable, starve it. If you are addicted with any kind of thing, Fasting spiced with Prayer curbs it to the minimum. Until you can look that thing in the eye and see no desire for it left.
The Holy Spirit is our greatest advantage. You are Never Alone in this.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
